FAQ

WHAT DOES THE NAME GRACEPOINT MEAN?

When we started talking about the idea of this church we wanted it to be a place that was simple yet deep in meaning. The name “GracePoint” summed it all up for us because it’s at the point that people meet grace that things are never the same.

IS GRACEPOINT AFFILIATED WITH ANY DENOMINATION?

We are not connected to any particular denomination or any specific church. We are a non-denominational group of Jesus followers.

WHO MAKES THE DECISIONS AROUND HERE?

As stated earlier, we are a “staff led, elder protected” church. The Lead Pastor and staff set the pace and direction for what happens from day to day. They are responsible and entrusted for their ministry environment as they empower volunteers to help make it all happen. See "LEADERSHIP" for more info on structure.

WHEN CAN I BE BAPTIZED?

We are going to regularly offer opportunities for baptisms as we grow so that you can plan ahead and “count the cost” leading up to your baptism decision. Our Baptism Events can be better described as a party or celebration! These are hosted more and more as the need arises and as we continue to thrive. For further explanation about what we believe about baptism, please watch the video message from our "JESUS IS GREATER THAN RELIGION" series on GracePoint TV.

HOW CAN I STAY INFORMED ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING AT GP?

The absolute best place to always look is at GRACEPOINT.me. This will be our main point of communication for what is going on. Here, at the website, you will be able to find the most current announcements, details and events. This will also be our method of passing on information concerning weather conditions, canceled services, etc. Also, become a fan of the GracePoint Facebook page and follow us on Twitter! We are always posting pictures, videos, updates, announcements, etc. Also, our GP APP is incredibly useful. It is available on all mobile platforms including iPhone, iPad, Android and many others. Download it today!

DO YOU PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS ON VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF THAT WORK WITH THE CHILDREN?

Absolutely! Protecting our kids is first and foremost. We require all volunteer and workers in Adventure Land to submit to an exhaustive background check performed by our insurance company to ensure that there is nothing in our volunteers’ past concerning children. We take the safety of our kids VERY seriously.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO THAT IS GIVEN TO GRACEPOINT?

Creating environments and living out the vision of GracePoint is expensive. The money placed in our offering baskets as well as the kiosk and through our website goes directly to fulfill this dream. This is how we pay for salaries, equipment, insurances, offices, events, etc. We are a church. We invest in people. We aren’t a business trying to increase its bottom line. However, it’s because of the faithful and regular giving of people like you that we can continue to make a difference.

* If you have further questions that aren’t listed here...we probably won’t answer them. Kidding. We are here for you and would love to answer your questions! Feel free to email us at office@gracepoint.me. :)
